This project arose from a curiosity of mine to learn more about the events in Unit 731, a secret biological and chemical warfare research and development unit of the Imperial Japanese Army.
What was supposed to be a publication based on a New York Times article, became something much deeper when, in the middle of researching the subject in question, I found a master's thesis from the University of Central Florida that I considered to be extremely insightful. After collecting an extensive amount of photographic material, I was able to transform this thesis into a piece of design, whose main purpose was to spread knowledge of these lesser-known horrific events of the Human History.
